Frequently Asked Questions

Check out these frequently asked questions.

Does the tracker track registered users separately from IPs?

You bet it does! We recognize that sometimes roommates, spouses, and siblings can use the same websites. If one user is logged into their account, but a separate access is recognized without being logged in, the counter will count both as separate! Was that confusing? Don’t worry: the short of it is that everyone will be counted, we promise.

I just want the visitor counter, can I disable the rest?

Yep! Everything else can be disabled in the backend so that it only shows the visitor counter.

Why are my affiliates not syncing properly?

Check to see that your affiliates are using the right URL! Sometimes, an affiliate will forget to use the affiliate URL that you gave them and will instead use the normal URL. We can’t track the affiliate URL if it isn’t even being used!

My counter isn’t updating!

First of all, that isn’t a question, but we understand that you’re frustrated! First, refresh your page. Did that work? If it did, go into your backend and make sure that you have it set to live updates. If it isn’t, switch it to that and restart your site. If it is, then use your mobile device or ask a friend to visit your website, and then refresh the page. If it still isn’t updating after that, drop us an e-mail.

What if it didn’t activate when I pressed the button?

Try restarting your site! If that didn’t work (or that isn’t an option), try clearing your cache and restarting your browser, then try to activate it again.

How do I install Visitors Right Now?

If this is your first time installing a WordPress plugin (we’re flattered!), then simply head over to the official WordPress plugin library and search for our plugin by name. There will be an official download link that will automatically add it to your site. Activate the plugin once it’s added and our step-by-step instructions will walk you through the process from there.
